A community drama club for all ages and abilities

We've been part of our local community for over 70 years, meeting every Wednesday at 7 pm, to produce family-friendly productions for the whole family to enjoy.

We welcome all ages and abilities, whether you want to act, sing and dance or join our backstage team, help to create props and costumes, or work on lights and sound.

Take a look at our photos and videos of our latest shows (or a few blasts from the past!) and get the goss on what's coming up next.

IHDC | An Act of Piracy - 2024 Safety Curtain avec Credits

Iver Heath Drama Club provides a much loved and valued service for everyone in and around South Bucks. An Act of Piracy By Patrick Derksen - Directed by Eleanor DeSouza with Harry Pryde. Produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Denver, Colorado, USA Set in an era when women were not allowed to act and men had to play female roles, Lord Cranbury’s traveling company of scallywag actors just can’t seem to get their big break! If only he knew that five members of his troupe are actually women... playing men who play female roles! But that’s not why their traveling show is failing. Could it be because some don’t bother to learn their lines? Or suffer from terrible stage fright? Certainly, it’s not because star actor Victor Thatcher, who is actually demanding diva Vivian Thatcher, keeps changing the play to suit his (or rather, her) mood, is it? Realizing the troupe’s in need of radical revitalizing, Cranbury decides to buy a ship and set sail with his thespian crew. After all, if they are going to do a play about pirates, they should experience the real thing! (It’s method acting, after all!) But the ocean is no place for landlubbers: the real Pirates doesn’t take kindly to other buccaneers in their territory. And the French naval commander, Capitaine Haute-Valois, just happens to be hunting for pirates to bring to justice. Can the rag-tag group of pedestrian players find their sea-legs in time to avoid Davy Jones’s locker? IHDC is a not-for-profit community group. Our summer show is an opportunity to give larger roles to our younger and developing talent with the safety and support of the veterans alongside them. We're a small not-for-profit community group run by volunteers based in Iver Heath, which is near Denham, Uxbridge and Slough. Established in 1948 we have over 40 active members, aged between 7 and 80 from all backgrounds and parts of the community. Our club is all inclusive. This means that we have members who have Physical, Mental and Learning Disabilities. We meet every Wednesday at the Iver Heath Village Hall providing a positive outlet for our community. Each January we perform our village Pantomime to over 450 people, the profits help fund the club and the next show.
